Clay Staggs

Mr. Staggs is an attorney with Smith and Staggs. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from The University of Alabama and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. Mr. Staggs is married with two children, and serves as an Elder at Riverwood Presbyterian Church.

Jimmy Hopper

Mr. Hopper studied business administration at The University of Alabama and is now a retired manager of a public utility company. He previously served on the Board of Directors for Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery. Mr. Hopper is married to Carolyn and they have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

Peggy Drinkard

Peggy Drinkard worked with several Riverwood families to found Riverwood Classical School. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Peggy has served as an educator in public and Christian education settings for over 30 years. She homeschooled her three children who are now grown, and currently serves as Director of Children’s Ministries at Riverwood in addition to serving on the RCS Board and teaching Latin in the grammar school. She is married to David Drinkard.

Jeff Miller

Jeff Miller has served on the Board since the beginning of 2010. Mr. Miller is an Elder and Director of Music at Riverwood Presbyterian Church.

Steve Davenport

Steve Davenport has served on the board since the beginning of 2010. Mr. Davenport has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Covenant College, a Master’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina State, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Accounting at the University of Alabama. Mr. Davenport is married to Lesley, who teaches the after school classical ballet classes for the school, and all three of his daughters attend RCS. He also serves as a Deacon at Riverwood Presbyterian Church.
